Overview:
Beaded Jewelry 101 is a dynamic skill-building workshop led by national award winning jewelry designer and educator Danielle-Nicole Angel. This immersive experience invites youth participants to explore the foundations of jewelry making through a creative lens, while also engaging in hands-on activities that nurture both personal expression and practical skills.
Participants will be introduced to key artistic concepts such as color theory, design thinking, and material experimentation, as they create their own wearable art pieces. Through guided instruction and open-ended exploration, students will learn technical skills like sequencing, pattern recognition, and hand-eye coordination, the workshop emphasizes social-emotional learning by fostering emotional regulation, patience, and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
Age Range:
Workshops can be thoughtfully tailored for every grade level, whether it’s curious creatives (grades K-5) expressive youth (grades 6-8) or emerging visionaries (grades 9-12), each session is designed to meet students where they are, honoring their voice, pace, and personal journey through the art of beaded jewelry!
